And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God (1 Sa 30:6).
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act (Ps 37:5).
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved (Ps 55:22).
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you (Ps 56:3).
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad (Pr 12:25).
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established (Pr 16:3).
Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you” (Is 35:4).
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint (Is 40:31).
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Is 41:10).
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble (Mt 6:34).
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour (Mt 10:19).
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Mt 11:28).
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Mt 11:29).
As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful (Mt 13:22).
But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.[a] Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her” (Lk 10:41-42).
And he said to his disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on (Lk 12:22).
And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. (Lk 12:29-30).
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me (Jn 14:1).
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid (John 14:27).
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world (Jn 16:33).
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Co 12:9-10 ).
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:6-7).
So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” (Heb 13:6).
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Pe 5:7).
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1:2-4).
