Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus (Jn 11:5).

Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus (2 Ti 1:13).
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers (1 Jn 3:16).
and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood (Rev 1:5).
